Nurtured Pumpkin began with something I found myself wishing for when choosing things for my own little one: less sameness, more meaning.

So much baby clothing is made in bulk, often from blends of cotton and synthetic fibres, and can feel designed to be replaced rather than cherished. I wanted to create somewhere different — a place for natural, beautifully considered pieces with personality, quality and a reason to be chosen.

Nurtured Pumpkin is my little corner of that idea, created with my son, Niko, very much in mind. I’m Alix, and I curate the things I would genuinely love to choose for him: pieces that feel precious without being excessive, simple without being ordinary, and beautiful without losing sight of what matters most.

For little ones, naturally.

When it comes to clothing, I look for natural materials such as cotton, wool and linen, chosen with little ones’ delicate skin in mind.

But natural is only the beginning.

I look for pieces that feel like them: joyful without being overwhelming, quietly elegant without being precious, and comfortable enough for exploring while still making you excited to dress your little one in them each time.

I love simple, considered design — whether beautifully neutral or full of gentle colour. What matters to me is that a piece has its own character. I’m drawn away from loud, uneven prints, plastic and disposable trends, and towards clothing that feels honest, timeless and worth caring for.

Because I don’t believe a little wardrobe needs to be overflowing.

I would rather see a smaller collection of pieces that you truly love, truly use and truly want to look after— pieces that may one day be passed on to another little one.

Toys & little treasures

For toys and accessories, the philosophy is much the same.

I look for natural, thoughtfully made pieces designed to be loved rather than quickly replaced— things that feel good in little hands, that you feel comfortable bringing into your child’s everyday world, and that have enough beauty, simplicity and character to make you happy each time they are used.

Whenever possible, I want these to be the kinds of things that can become part of a family’s story: played with, cared for, treasured and passed from one generation to the next.

Less, but more meaningful.

Nurtured Pumpkin isn’t about buying more.

It is about choosing better — and choosing with intention.

The beautifully made little outfit you couldn’t wait to see your baby wear.
The wooden toy that becomes their favourite.
The natural piece you know you’ll want to keep.
